MSEDCL scheme may benefit around 36 lakh consumers
MSEDCL's Abhay Yojana 2026-27 in Maharashtra is expected to benefit around 36 lakh electricity consumers with outstanding dues, including disconnected consumers in franchisee areas.
The scheme waives 100% of interest and delayed payment charges. Consumers who pay principal dues in one instalment get an additional 20% concession; instalment payments are also allowed. MLA Rais Shaikh said full payment by December 15, 2026, is needed to claim the applicable discount.
The scheme runs until January 15, 2027.
