Anantnag Banks Report 78.5% Credit-Deposit Ratio

Banks in Anantnag district reached a credit-deposit ratio of 78.49 percent by June 30, 2026. In a recent District Level Review Committee meeting, officials shared that total loans reached ₹7,612.18 crore against deposits of ₹9,698.49 crore.

Banking performance

Financial progress is a top priority for the local administration. Under Mission YUVA, banks gave out ₹249.18 crore to 4,277 eligible people. Also, the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana provided ₹45 crore to 2,512 people in the district.

Deputy Commissioner Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat asked banks to improve lending, mainly for farming and other important sectors. Banks also need to increase loans under the PM Vishwakarma scheme, as progress there is slower than expected.
