Lucknow Cantonment Receives 12 New Development Projects Worth Rs 101 Crore

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath opened 12 development projects in Lucknow Cantonment on August 30, 2026. These projects cost ₹101 crore and aim to improve schools, health centers, sports facilities, and water services.

Project details and city upgrades

The development work includes building a sports complex and a school for children with disabilities. Officials will also add more classrooms to current schools. To improve local facilities, the government plans to set up robotic car parking, replace old water pipes, and build new overhead water tanks. A city polyclinic is coming to Ekta Bazaar. The government also launched the Chief Minister Abhyuday Yojana at Mangla Devi School.

The Defence Minister announced new building rules for cantonment areas. Residents can now construct Stilt + Ground + 3 floors to meet current needs. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also mentioned work to clean the Gomti River and grow infrastructure through the CM Grid scheme.
