Amit Shah Inaugurates Gujarat Gaurav Sarovar in Amreli

Union Home Minister Amit Shah opened Gujarat Gaurav Sarovar recently. This is a new water reservoir built near Dudhala village in Amreli district. Dholakia Foundation built it for ₹4 crore. It covers 21 acres. The project will help raise local groundwater levels and help farmers grow more.

During the event, the Minister spoke about how SAUNI Yojana works well. It has brought Narmada water to the Saurashtra and Kutch regions. Irrigation capacity across the state has grown by 160 per cent. This follows water conservation work like Gujarat Kisan Suryoday Yojana. Such community work is very important to secure water supplies and stop droughts in rural areas.
