Goa Government Invites Proposals for Cultural and Language Preservation Schemes

Directorate of Official Language in Goa invites proposals for three schemes for the 2026-27 period. These help protect local linguistic heritage and village traditions.

Amcho Ganv, Amchi Parampara, Amchem Daiz helps writers and locals document village rituals, customs, and heritage. It provides money to help publish manuscripts. Also, Bhasha Vikas Yojana gives registered institutions grants for up to 80% of costs to host literary programs in Konkani, Marathi, Hindi, or Sanskrit.

Language preservation plans

Lokbhasha Sangrah Yojana helps save rare words. It tasks experts with creating English-Konkani and English-Konkani-Marathi vocabularies. Applicants must submit proposals by November 30, 2026.
