How to Check PMAY Gramin List UP 2024
Below is the complete procedure to find your name in the PMAY-G new list of beneficiaries for Uttar Pradesh state:-
STEP 1: Visit the official PMAY-G website at pmayg.nic.in
STEP 2: Click at the “Report” link. Next candidates have to click at “Houses Progress against the target financial year” option under ‘Physical Progress Reports’ section.
STEP 3: Next candidates have to fill the fields in the “Selection Filters“. Firstly candidates need to select the”PMAYG Cumulative Progress Till Date, then 2nd option is automatically selected as “Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana Gramin“. Next, candidates needs to select the “Name of State as Uttar Pradesh” in the 3rd option. Then candidates can select the name of “District“, “Block” and “Panchayat” in the 4th, 5th, 6th option respectively.

Benefits of Pradhanmantri Awas Yojana Gramin
- The unit assistance given to beneficiaries under the programme is Rs 1,20,000 in plain areas and to Rs 1,30,000 in hilly states / difficult areas / Integrated Action Plan (IAP) for Selected Tribal and Backward Districts. Presently the NE States, states of HP and Uttarakhand, UT of J&K and all 82 LWE districts are identified as difficult and hilly areas. The unit size is 25 sq.m including a dedicated area for hygienic cooking.
- The beneficiary is entitled to 90 days of unskilled labour from MGNREGA.
- The beneficiary would be facilitated to avail loan of up to Rs. 70,000 for construction of the house which is optional.
- Funds will be transferred electronically directly to the account of the beneficiary.
Objective of Indira Awas Yojana in Uttar Pradesh
The main objective of the PM Awas Yojana Scheme is housing that is affordable for all by the year 2022. The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin (PMAY-G) was formerly called the Indira Awas Yojana and was renamed in March 2016. It is targeted at promoting accessibility and affordability of housing for all of rural India with the exceptions of Delhi and Chandigarh.
Eligibility Criteria for UP PM Awas Yojana Gramin
Beneficiaries of this PMAY scheme will be identified as per data available from the Socio-Economic and Caste Census (SECC) and include –
- Scheduled castes and scheduled tribes.
- Non-SC/ST and minorities under BPL.
- Freed bonded labourers.
- Next of kin and widows of paramilitary forces and individuals killed in action, ex-servicemen, and those under a retirement scheme.
Process for Selection of Rural Beneficiaries in UP
- Identification of beneficiaries eligible for assistance and their prioritisation to be done using information from Socio Economic and Caste Census (SECC) ensuring total transparency and objectivity.
- The list will be presented to Gram Sabha to identify beneficiaries who have been assisted before or who have become ineligible due to other reasons.
- The finalised list will be published. Annual list of beneficiaries will be identified from the total list through participatory process by the Gram Sabha.
- Gram Sabha will need to justify in writing with reasons for any alteration of priority in the original list.

CM Yogi on UP Mukhyamantri Gramin Awas Yojana 2024
Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath said that the land on which a poor person had made his/her hut should be transferred in his/her name if the land was undisputed and not in any reserved category and, if required, houses could be built in clusters in some districts. CM Yogi also said that a campaign should be launched to saturate all the beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and Chief Minister Housing Scheme with the benefits of the government schemes like toilet, kitchen, electricity, Ayushman Bharat, and Jivan Jyoti schemes. The CM issued these directions while transferring instalment in the accounts of the beneficiaries of the Chief Minister Rural Housing Scheme or Mukhyamantri Gramin Awas Yojana.
Uttar Pradesh government had earlier started UP Mukhyamantri Gramin Awas Yojana to provide homes to the poor homeless people in the state. Housing and Urban Planning Department of Uttar Pradesh is implementing the plan of providing free housing units to the homeless poor of the state. Under the CM Rural Housing Scheme, the state govt. also provides affordable homes to people belonging to poor category of the society.
Need for CM Rural Housing Scheme in Uttar Pradesh
Yogi government had started this CM Rural Housing Scheme so that not a single person had to live without home. UP Mukhyamantri Gramin Awas Yojana even enables the people living in slums in their rehabilitation. Since the people who do not have enough money to buy food, it is impossible for them to afford a home. Hence, Yogi Adityanath Government had decided to provide free housing to such poor homeless families.
Chief Minister Yogi, who is also the housing minister has now distributed amount under Mukhyamantri Gramin Awas Yojana or CM Rural Housing Scheme in UP. Earlier, the plan was to rename the housing scheme for poor after Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay but the idea has been put on hold. Under the scheme, apart from free housing for poor, people belonging to LIG / EWS / MIG 1 category would be provided homes at affordable cost.
The flagship housing scheme of central government to provide housing for all by 2024, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is already running in the state. Under the PMAY, central government is providing financial assistance of up to Rs. 1.5 lakh for EWS beneficiaries while state government is providing Rs. 1 Lakh. Samajwadi Awas Yojana which was started by the earlier government has failed to provide much benefits to the state residents. The scheme had been renamed as Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana and for rural areas, the name is Mukhyamantri Gramin Awas Yojana or CM Rural Housing Scheme. In this scheme, the left out people of PMAY housing scheme living in rural areas are eligible.
