UP Sanskrit scholarship: first instalment for 2026-27 planned on 23 October

Uttar Pradesh's Secondary Education Department is getting ready to release the first instalment of Sanskrit scholarship for the 2026-27 session on 23 October 2026. Students of Sanskrit schools, Sanskrit colleges and Sampurnanand Sanskrit University get this scholarship.

This year the money comes in two instalments. December is the target for the second one.

Yearly amount depends on the level of study:

• Class 6 and 7 students get ₹600.
• Class 8 students get ₹900.
• Purva Madhyama (class 9 and 10) students get ₹1,200.
• Uttar Madhyama (class 11 and 12) students get ₹1,800.
• Shastri students get ₹2,400.
• Acharya students get ₹3,000.

No official payment order for 23 October is out yet. Students can confirm their status with their school or college.
