UP CM Yogi Adityanath to lay foundation for 600-flat Padma Lok Awas Yojana in Prayagraj

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will lay the foundation stone for the Padma Lok Awas Yojana, an affordable housing project with approximately 600 flats, on reclaimed land in Prayagraj.

The project will be on more than one hectare in the Sadar tehsil area. The Prayagraj Development Authority (PDA) plans to use the land for affordable housing.

PDA Vice-Chairman Rishi Raj said preparations for the event are underway. Senior officials and public representatives will attend. He explained that the land, owned by the development authority, was earlier occupied by anti-social elements and has since been reclaimed.

The scheme is registered with the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA). The detailed project report is under review. Once approved, the authority will complete formalities and start the tender process.

Details on flat sizes, prices, eligibility and allotment are not final yet.

Earlier, reclaimed land from Atiq Ahmed in the Lukerganj area of Prayagraj was used to build 76 flats under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, which were then given to eligible people.
