SEED Scheme for DNT, NT and SNT Communities Empowerment

Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment runs the SEED scheme to help De-notified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic communities. This scheme covers four main areas: education, health, income, and housing.

Students get free coaching and monthly help money from ₹1,500 to ₹3,000. The scheme works with existing platforms like Ayushman Bharat for health cover and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana for housing help. Now, the program reaches 134,361 people across 8 states and 112 districts.

Upcoming plans for SEED

Applications for free coaching are paused while the government prepares for SEED 2.0. This new version will cover the years 2026 to 2031. Development and Welfare Board for De-notified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Communities manages these tasks.
