Punjab Releases Funds for Orphaned and Destitute Children
Punjab government released ₹181.23 crore to help orphaned and poor children across the state. This money is part of a larger ₹432.38 crore budget for the 2026-27 financial year.
Details of help for children
Around 2.45 lakh children under 21 will get support through this scheme. It provides money to children who lost their parents. It also helps those whose guardians cannot care for them because of health problems. This help lets children stay in school and live a good life.
