Parivartan Yojana Launched in Eight Uttar Pradesh Districts

Uttar Pradesh transport minister Dayashankar Singh announced that Parivartan Yojana is now running in eight districts. Starting July 8, the scheme covers Meerut, Ghaziabad, Gautam Budh Nagar, Hapur, Baghpat, Bulandshahr, Muzaffarnagar, and Shamli to help reduce air pollution in the National Capital Region.

Vehicle replacement details

The scheme helps owners replace older BS-I to BS-IV goods vehicles and buses with cleaner BS-VI diesel, CNG, or electric versions. When you scrap an old vehicle, you get a Certificate of Deposit. This certificate gives you a 100% exemption from registration fees and road tax for 10 years.

The government is also giving a one-time incentive between ₹64,000 and ₹2.56 lakh for those buying electric vehicles. Buyers get other benefits too, including an 8% discount from manufacturers, a 5% interest subsidy on loans, and fuel vouchers for five years.
