Jal Sanchay Jan Bhagidari: Catch the Rain launched nationwide
Jal Sanchay Jan Bhagidari: Catch the Rain began nationwide on 1 June 2026, joining the community-led Jal Sanchay Jan Bhagidari effort with the Jal Shakti Abhiyan: Catch the Rain campaign. It focuses on rainwater harvesting, groundwater recharge, water storage and public participation.
By 31 May 2026, more than 1.55 crore artificial groundwater recharge and storage works had been reported under Jal Sanchay Jan Bhagidari, according to Ministry of Jal Shakti. Ministry release.
