Haryana pays ₹3,200 monthly under Bauna Bhatta Yojana

Haryana's Bauna Bhatta Yojana, officially listed as "Allowance to Dwarfs", pays eligible adults with dwarfism ₹3,200 a month, or ₹38,400 a year. The department says the monthly rate took effect on November 1, 2025. The scheme has been operational since June 2006.

Men must be 3 feet 8 inches or shorter and women 3 feet 3 inches or shorter. Applicants must be at least 18, domiciled in Haryana and have lived there for at least one year before applying. A Civil Surgeon-issued certificate confirming dwarfism is required.

A state government release dated October 27, 2026 says applicants must apply online and submit verified documents to the relevant office. District Social Welfare Officers can guide applicants on eligibility, required documents and the application process.
