EPFO Starts Local Claim Settlement in Leh

Employees Provident Fund Organisation has started settling provident fund claims directly from Leh. This helps subscribers in Ladakh who previously relied on the Jammu office, located over 650 km away. Local processing has begun with 42 claims worth ₹14,32,574 cleared successfully.

This scheme will support over 7,800 subscribers and 2,700 registered establishments. It also helps run Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana, Vishwas Scheme, and Employees Enrolment Campaign 2026 across the region. Officials plan to get a new office building in Leh with better facilities for members.

Upcoming regional office improvements

This update means members no longer need to travel to Jammu for their claims. The new office will make it easier for local people to get their issues solved on time.
