Centre Approves Funding for Telangana Indiramma Towers

Central government approved ₹100.8 crore for building 6,720 flats in Telangana under Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana (Urban) 2.0. These homes are part of Indiramma Towers project and will provide housing in CURE area.

Total cost for this project is estimated at ₹739.2 crore. Funds come from Centre, state government, urban local bodies, and eligible people. Centre also approved Technology Innovation Grant of ₹20.16 crore. Each flat costs ₹11 lakh, with state paying ₹5 lakh and eligible person paying ₹6 lakh.

Project timeline and funding

Officials expect first payment of ₹40.32 crore for building and ₹10.08 crore for innovation grant soon. Centre requires all projects to start by November 2026 and finish in 18 to 24 months. State government plans to finish work within one year.
