Haryana government has launched a new Sehat Scheme 2024 for school going children. Under SEHAT scheme, the state govt. will perform health check-ups of around 25 lakh school children twice a year. This scheme comes in the aftermath of the COVID-19 crisis as the govt. relizes that health of children is an important aspect for providing quality education. Haryana Sehat Scheme 2024
On the occasion of Teachers Day i.e 5 September 2022, Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya launched SEHAT scheme. As the educated and healthy children are our country’s future, so the state govt. has started Sehat Yojana. At a state-level programme organised by the School Education Department in Panchkula, the governor also felicitated 93 teachers for their outstanding work.
Health Check-ups of School Children in Sehat Yojana
In this scheme, health check-ups of 25 lakh school children will be carried out 2 times in a particular year. Sehat Yojana full form is School Education Haryana’s Health and Treatment Yojana. This scheme has been launched under Ayushman Bharat Yojana and will be implemented in the next academic year.
Data to be Uploaded on e-Upchar Portal
Data collected during the medical tests conducted on students will be uploaded on the state’s e-Upchar portal and these details can be accessed from anywhere. The direct link to access e-Upchar portal is https://eupchaarharyana.org.in/eupchaar/eupchaar/home
While Remembering Former President Bharat Ratna Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, whose birthday is celebrated as Teachers’ Day, Governor said “the eminent diplomat, scholar, and an ideal teacher did a great job for the all-round development of children”. The governor remembered his Physics teacher Ramaiah Garu and Telugu teacher late Sheshacharya and said their words guided not only his personal but his political journey too. Education Minister said the state government has taken several steps for improving the quality of education.
