Scheme for Acquisition of Equipment and Others gives financial support to small-scale enterprises in Puducherry so they can upgrade their technology and infrastructure and stay competitive. The scheme is run by the Pondicherry Industrial Promotion Development and Investment Corporation Limited (PIPDIC) under the Department of Industries and Commerce, Puducherry, and applications are accepted online throughout the year.
Small units can use this support to buy in-house quality control facilities, DG sets, pollution control equipment, computers and related accessories, and equipment for indigenization or import substitution. The loan amount is decided on the need of the unit, while manufacturing and installation of renewable energy or energy saving systems gets up to ₹5,00,000 per product.
