Madhya Pradesh School Education Department is running Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Boys Residential Hostel Scheme for boys who are out of school or have left studies in between. Under Rajya Shiksha Kendra, 66 such boys hostels are working across the state, and admission is given to eligible boys of class 3 to class 8 with free stay, food, uniform, books and health check-ups.
Big change came in 2026. Admission in these hostels is now fully online through e-Hostel Management System built on Education Portal 3.0, and offline forms are not accepted anymore. First round of online applications closed on 30 March 2026 and the second round for vacant seats ran from 6 April 2026 to 10 June 2026, so parents should now check seat availability with the hostel warden or District Project Coordinator for the next round.
Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Boys Residential Hostel Scheme Online Admission Process
Application is taken only through the online portal of School Education Department. Parents can fill the form themselves, through an MP Online kiosk centre, or with help from the warden of the nearest hostel. There is no fee for applying.
STEP 1 - Open the School Education Department portal at educationportal3.in and go to the e-Hostel Management System section given on the homepage.
STEP 2 - Pick the hostel admission option for Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose boys hostel and choose the district and the class in which admission is needed.
STEP 3 - Fill the student details using the Samagra ID and Aadhaar number of the boy, along with parent details and the address.
STEP 4 - Upload the last class marksheet or transfer certificate, check the whole form once, and submit it. Keep a printout of the filled form for future reference.
STEP 5 - Seat allotment is done online by the department as per the seats fixed for that hostel. If a seat is not allotted in the first round, the same student can apply again in the second round announced for vacant seats.

Boys selected in these hostels get full residential support so that money problems or distance from school do not stop their studies. Stay and meals are free, and the hostel also takes care of daily needs.
