Eligibility
To qualify for this scheme, applicants must meet the following conditions.
- Must be a native or permanent resident of the Union Territory of Puducherry for at least 5 years.

- For orthopaedic, hearing, speech, or visual impairments, disability should be 40% or above.

Application Process
STEP 1 - Visit the Directorate of Social Welfare office or the DSW Services portal at dswservices.py.gov.in for the online application route. For offline applications, go to the local office or sub-office of the Department of Social Welfare during working hours and collect the prescribed application form from the staff.
STEP 2 - Fill in all mandatory fields in the application form. Paste a passport-sized photograph (signed across if required) and attach copies of all required documents. Self-attest the copies where needed.
STEP 3 - Submit the completed and signed form along with documents to the relevant authority based on your region. For Puducherry, submit to the Deputy Director, Differently Abled Section, Directorate of Social Welfare. For Karaikal, submit to the Assistant Director, Social Welfare Department (Sub Office).
