Alpsankhyak Merit-Cum-Means Chatravriti Yojana 2026 Details
Scheme mixes merit with need. So a student must have marks as well as a low family income. Minority communities notified by the government, like Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain and Parsi students of Madhya Pradesh, can apply for it. Money comes as DBT payment into the student bank account linked with Aadhaar.

Apply Online for Alpsankhyak Merit-Cum-Means Chatravriti Yojana
Application is fully online. Keep your Aadhaar number, mobile number, bank passbook, marksheet and income certificate ready before you sit down to fill the form.
STEP 1 - Open National Scholarship Portal and click on the New Registration option on the homepage.
STEP 2 - Read the guidelines shown on the screen, tick the undertaking box and click Continue to move ahead.
STEP 3 - Select your Aadhaar category, enter your Aadhaar or enrolment number and your mobile number, then verify the OTP that comes on your phone.
STEP 4 - Fill your name, date of birth, state as Madhya Pradesh, scholarship category and bank details in the registration form, then submit it. You will get a Student Application ID and password on your mobile.
STEP 5 - Log in with that ID, open the fresh application form and fill your course, college, family income and marks details carefully.
STEP 6 - Upload scanned copies of the required documents, check the full form once, then submit it finally. Save the printout for your record and follow up with your college nodal officer for institute verification.

Who Can Apply
Rules are simple and mostly about residence, community, income and marks. Students should check all four points before applying, because a wrong income figure is the most common reason for rejection.
- Student must be a permanent resident of Madhya Pradesh and belong to a notified minority community.
- Total family income from all sources should not be more than ₹2,50,000 in a year.
- Student must have scored at least 50 percent marks in the last qualifying exam.
- Student should be studying a higher technical or professional course in a recognised institute, and should not be taking any other scholarship for the same course.
For example, if a student from Bhopal belongs to a minority community, family income is ₹2,00,000 a year and marks in the last exam were 62 percent, then the student can apply.
