Madhya Pradesh Labour Welfare Board is running Academic Scholarship Scheme in 2026 for children of workers employed in registered factories and establishments across the state. Yearly scholarship money ranges from ₹2,000 for a Class 5 student up to ₹12,500 for an MBBS or BDS student, paid into the student's own bank account.
Applications are taken online through Shram Kalyan Portal of the board at shramkalyanmandal.mponline.gov.in, and also through Lok Seva Kendra counters. Only two children of one worker family can get this benefit, and the form has to be filled once every academic year.
Academic Scholarship Scheme Madhya Pradesh
Scholarship is meant for students whose parents work in an institution covered under M.P. Labour Welfare Fund Act 1982. Money problems should not stop a child from studying, that is the simple idea behind it. Support runs from Class 5 right up to postgraduate and professional degrees.
Student must be studying as a regular student inside Madhya Pradesh and must have passed the previous class. One more condition, no other government department should already be paying a scholarship to the same student. Similar support for workers' families is also given under Shaikshanik Chatravriti Yojana of the same board.
How to Apply Online
Whole process is online and takes about fifteen minutes if documents are scanned and ready beforehand. Steps are given below.
STEP 1 - Open Shram Kalyan Portal of Madhya Pradesh Labour Welfare Board at shramkalyanmandal.mponline.gov.in, which is now the working portal for board schemes. Old MP e-District MPL pages are no longer opening, so do not depend on them.
STEP 2 - Click on the user login option and register yourself with your mobile number. An OTP comes on the same number, put it in and your login ID gets created.
STEP 3 - Log in with the new ID and password, then pick the worker or student service section and open the academic scholarship service.
STEP 4 - Fill in the form carefully. Worker details, factory or establishment name, student name, class or course, school or college name, and bank account number all have to match your papers.
STEP 5 - Upload scanned copies of the previous class marksheet, Aadhaar, photo, bank passbook and the parent's worker ID, then submit the form and save the acknowledgement number.
STEP 6 - Track the same application later by logging in again. Payment comes as a DBT payment into the student's bank account after the office checks the papers.
Anyone not comfortable with online forms can walk into a nearby Lok Seva Kendra or MPOnline kiosk. Board does not charge anything for the scholarship service, but a kiosk may take the fixed government service charge for filling and uploading.
