Latest 2026 Update: The government has officially shared that 57.79 crore individuals have received Mudra loans worth ₹40.07 lakh crore since the scheme started. The Tarun Plus category now allows loans up to ₹20 lakh for those who have already successfully repaid a Tarun loan. Women account for 67% of all loan recipients - a total of 38.71 crore loans have gone to women borrowers.

STEP 1: Firstly visit the official PMMY website at https://www.udyamimitra.in
STEP 2: Applicant can scroll down the home page and click at "Apply Now" link under the "Mudra loans" tab.

STEP 4: Enter name of applicant, e-mail ID, mobile number and click at "Generate OTP" button. Next verify OTP to complete the registration process.

What is Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Loan Yojana
Micro Units Development & Refinance Agency Ltd. (MUDRA) is an institution for development and refinancing micro finance institutions such as banks, NBFCs, MFIs and other financial intermediaries, which are in the business of lending to manufacturing, processing, trading and service sector activities. Originally created as a subsidiary of SIDBI with a paid-up capital of ₹750 crore, MUDRA today provides refinance support to banks, NBFCs, and MFIs for PMMY.
Who can get the MUDRA loan under PMMY: All non-farm sector income generating activities such as manufacturing, trading and services whose credit needs are below ₹20 lakh are covered as MUDRA Loans under Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY).
Types of Loans under Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY)
Any individual including women, proprietary concern, partnership firm, private limited company or any other entity are eligible applicants under PMMY loans. Under Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Yojana (PMMY), there are now four loan categories to match the stage of growth of the business:
- Shishu: Loans up to ₹50,000. Made for entrepreneurs at the very start of their journey who need a small push to get going.
- Kishor: Loans above ₹50,000 and up to ₹5 lakh. For those who have already started their business and want more funds to grow it further.
- Tarun: Loans above ₹5 lakh and up to ₹10 lakh. For well-established micro enterprises ready to scale up operations.
- Tarun Plus: Loans above ₹10 lakh and up to ₹20 lakh. Introduced in Union Budget 2024-25, this is only for those who have already repaid a Tarun loan with a clean record.
MUDRA loans under PMMY can be taken from approved NBFCs, MFIs, public or private sector commercial banks, and Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) across India. The loans are sanctioned by the lending institutions as per the eligibility of each applicant.
Eligibility Criteria for PM Mudra Loan Scheme
All applicants must fulfill the basic eligibility to get a bank loan under PM Mudra Yojana. The business should be either one of the following:
- Small manufacturing enterprise
- Shopkeepers, traders, and vendors
- Fruit and vegetable vendors
- Artisans and self-employed professionals
- Activities allied to agriculture such as pisciculture, beekeeping, poultry, livestock rearing, dairy, fishery, agri-clinics and agribusiness centres, food and agro-processing, etc. (excluding crop loans and land improvement like canals, irrigation, and wells).
Applicant must be an Indian citizen aged 18 to 65 years and should not be a defaulter with any bank or financial institution. The Tarun Plus category is only available to those who have already successfully repaid a Tarun loan.
List of Documents Required for Mudra Yojana Bank Loan
- Self certified copy of identity proof such as Voter ID card / PAN Card / Aadhaar Card / Passport / Driving License.
- Residence proof such as a recent telephone or electricity bill (not older than 2 months), property tax receipt, Voter ID card, Aadhaar Card, or Passport.
- Proof of SC/ST/OBC/Minority status (if applicable).
- Copies of relevant licenses, registration certificates, or other documents for the business unit.
- Statement of accounts for the last six months from your existing bank.
- Balance sheets of the business along with Income Tax or Sales Tax returns for the last 2 years (for loans of ₹2 lakh and above).
- Projected balance sheets for one year in case of working capital limits or for the loan period in case of a term loan (for loans of ₹2 lakh and above).
- Project report (for the proposed project) with details of technical and economic viability - required for Kishor, Tarun, and Tarun Plus loans.
- GST registration or Udyam Registration certificate as business proof.
- Sales figures for the current financial year up to the date of application.
- Memorandum and articles of association or Partnership Deed (for companies and firms).
- 2 recent passport-size photographs of each proprietor, partner, or director.
