Mahtari Nyay Yojana 2024 has been announced by Smt. Priyanka Gandhi, Congress General Secretary. In this scheme, the state govt. of Chhattisgarh will provide subsidy on refilling of every cylinder. The senior leader mentioned about महतारी न्याय योजना in her address at a public rally in poll-bound Chhattisgarh. About Mahtari Nyay Yojana 2024

In order to attract women voters before upcoming CG assembly elections, Smt. Priyanka Gandhi announced Mahtari Nyay Yojana. She said that as soon Congress regains power in the state, the new gas cylinder subsidy scheme will be implemented in Chhattisgarh.

Subsidy Amount in Mahtari Nyay Scheme

Under the new mahtari nyay scheme, for refilling every cylinder a subsidy worth Rs. 500 will be granted to the woman beneficiaries directly into their accounts. The one-of-a-kind direct benefit transfer scheme will be implemented in the state after the polls.

Congress leader mentioned “For the women of Chhattisgarh, we are implementing Mahtari Nyay Yojana. Under this, for refilling every cylinder a subsidy worth Rs 500 will be granted. The government will directly transfer this amount into the bank accounts of the women in the households”.

Electricity Subsidy for Chhattisgarh Residents

Smt. Priyanka Gandhi also announced an electricity subsidy scheme for Chhattisgarh residents on the lines of Delhi free electricity scheme. If voted to power, the congress led state govt. will benefit the households utilising up to 200 units of electricity in a month. Around 42 lakh beneficiaries would not have to pay any electricity bill, said the Congress leader.

Previously, the incumbent Chief Minister Bhupesh Bhagel had made the announcement of housing for over 17 lakh people, caste census and loan waivers for farmers.

Chhattisgarh will go to the polls in 2 phases. As per the schedule announced by the Election Commission of India ECI, the first phase of the elections in Chhattisgarh will be held on November 7th, while the second phase will be on November 17th, 2023. The counting of votes will be done on December 3rd, 2023.
