Government of India Calendar 2026 has been officially released, marking a fresh step in presenting India’s journey of growth and governance for the coming year. This calendar is not limited to dates and holidays. It reflects how India is moving forward with clear goals, people-focused governance, and long-term planning.
Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting and Parliamentary Affairs, Dr. L. Murugan, released Government of India Calendar 2026 at a formal event in New Delhi. He shared that this calendar works as a mirror of India’s progress and also reminds citizens of the shared goal of building a developed nation by 2047.

Theme of Calendar 2026 is “Bharat@2026: Sewa, Sushasan and Samriddhi”, which clearly focuses on service, good governance, and inclusive growth. Through this theme, calendar shows an India that is confident in its identity, strong in institutions, and clear about future direction. It highlights how reforms and service delivery are helping build trust between citizens and government.

Speaking at the event, Information and Broadcasting Secretary Sanjay Jaju said Government of India Calendar has grown into a strong communication tool. It clearly shows government priorities and values. Calendar 2026 reflects India’s steady progress through reform, inclusion, and aspiration.
Calendar includes twelve monthly themes, each linked with a key area of national progress. These monthly pages show how different sections of society contribute to India’s growth, from farmers and women to youth, armed forces, and infrastructure development. Each month highlights one idea that connects with daily life and national vision.
Key reforms carried out during 2025 also find mention through the calendar’s broader message. Measures like new tax regime relief, GST 2.0 changes, labour code implementation, and job creation efforts helped strengthen economy and improve ease of living for people across the country.
Calendar 2026 is published in 13 Indian languages, helping it reach citizens from different regions and cultures. This reflects government’s effort to stay connected with people in a language they are comfortable with.
