Amader Para, Amader Samadhan Guidelines

West Bengal government has announced the guidelines of the “Amader Para Amader Samadhan” scheme which will run across the state from 2 August to 3 November, with a short break for Pujas. Around 27,000 outreach camps will be organized, mainly in the mornings, using the same venues as the “Duare Sarkar” camps.

Under the new guidelines (SoP), a neutral community representative, such as a retired teacher, government staff, or respected SHG member with no political links will be chosen from each polling booth area. This person, along with a government employee acting as facilitator, will engage with residents to identify and officially record local issues.

Each polling booth will receive Rs. 10 lakh to solve identified problems, with the government allocating a total budget of Rs. 8,000 crore for the scheme. While most camps will cover three booths each, adjustments will be made for remote or city areas. All camp venues and dates will be published on dedicated website apas.wb.gov.in. The main focus of the scheme will be on addressing smaller local issues quickly, while larger projects will be handled separately. The program covers all 80,000+ polling booths in Bengal, including more than 4,700 polling stations in Kolkata.
