Chhattisgarh Expands Atal Utkrisht Shiksha Yojana Capacity

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai announced an expansion of Atal Utkrisht Shiksha Yojana. The scheme provides quality education to children of registered workers. It will now support 200 students, up from the previous capacity of 100.

This scheme launched last year. It offers free residential education from Class 6 to 12 at schools like Rajkumar College, Delhi Public School, and Rungta Public School. Talented children from all 33 districts can apply for this support.

Education and support details

During a recent event, the Chief Minister said money problems should not stop a child from learning. The government also offers study loans and help for students going abroad.

Officials confirmed that over ₹39.67 crore has been sent via DBT payment to 1,45,841 workers under different labour welfare schemes. The state runs 67 welfare programs. These cover health, housing, and skill training.
