Tamilnadu Smart Ration Card Status: Tamilnadu Public Distribution System (TNPDS) is converting all the ration cards in the state to smart cards. The online applications for smart ration cards are already being invited by the department through its official website at tnpds.gov.in.
The status of the TNPDS smart card can be checked online on the same website by entering the reference number. TNPDS ஸ்மார்ட் கார்டின் நிலை, அதே இணையத்தளத்தில் குறிப்பு எண்ணை நுழைவதன் மூலம் ஆன்லைனில் சரிபார்க்கப்படலாம்.
The reference number sent to the mobile number while registration can be used to check the status of Tamilnadu smart ration card. Candidates can now edit / update tamilnadu tnpds smart ration card details (make correction) through the link – Correction in Smart Ration Card (Name / Address Change)

The status of your smart ration card application can be checked online by visiting the official website of Tamilnadu Public Distribution System at tnpds.gov.in. To know the application status, you need to enter the reference number which was sent to the mobile number of user while registration.
Step by step procedure to check the smart ration card status of application
- Visit the official website of TNPDS at https://tnpds.gov.in/
- Click on ” மின்னணு அட்டை விண்ணப்பத்தின் நிலை” link in the right sidebar of the website homepage or if you wish to use English language version, choose the “English” language from top right part of the website and click “Smart Card Application Status” link.
- On the next page, you will be shown a textbox field to enter your reference number, enter your ref. number in the textbox and click “Submit” button.
- Once you click the “Submit” button, the status of your smart card application would be shown to you.
Below is the screenshot of the page which will be shown to you for entering your ref. number to check the smart card status.

Informed that they could not process my application and required again my photo and a xerox copy of my Ration Card. I have already submitted the required documents. After six months ie 6th May 2018 they have again said my application has not been processed after my personal enquiry.
Since my documents mention my address and mobile no there was no intimation for the reason of rejection.
I hope on receipt of this kindly send me a work of reason for rejection.

Crores of public money is waated in this project. Because recently I have received my smart card and no information in the card is correct including my name and photo.
