West Bengal Launches Expanded Cashless Health Coverage

West Bengal launched an expanded health scheme linking Ayushman Bharat and Mukhyamantri Swasthya Bima Yojana. Eligible people can now get cashless treatment of up to ₹5 lakh at 38,600 hospitals across India.

Hospital and coverage details

This coverage includes 1,240 private and 627 government hospitals within West Bengal. The schemes now offer 1,950 treatment packages, up from 1,700. People not covered by the central scheme will get support from the state program. About 80 lakh families will likely benefit from this update. It makes it easier for residents to get quality care anywhere in the country.
