West Bengal Extends Awas Yojana Survey Deadline

Residents waiting for housing verification have more time. West Bengal government extended the Paschim Banga Awas Yojana survey deadline by 15 days. This decision came after a review meeting in Durgapur led by Panchayats and Rural Development Minister, Dilip Ghosh.

The survey was supposed to finish on August 15, 2026. The new date gives extra time so eligible families are not missed. The minister said bad weather and other ongoing schemes caused delays. Teams will keep doing home visits across the state.

Verification request process

If you are waiting for a visit, use the new e-mail facility for applicants. Send your address details to the official department email address to ask for a verification visit. If you do not have a smartphone, you can use a family member's device to send the request.
