Uttarakhand to Launch State-Level Marketing Centre for SHG Products

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced a new state-level marketing centre at 13 Gaon in IT Park, Dehradun. This place will help Self-Help Groups from all 13 districts of Uttarakhand sell their local products. Helping women and rural business owners is a top priority for the state government.

At the Chief Minister Udyamshala Chaupal-2026, CM Dhami shared that over 13,000 business owners have received support through the Chief Minister Udyamshala Yojana. Also, more than 8,000 women and SHG members now have new income opportunities. The government promotes local goods like hill spices, mandua, jhangora, and handicrafts under the House of Himalayas brand.

Boosting local employment

These efforts aim to stop migration from the hills by creating local jobs. Through the National Rural Livelihood Mission, over five lakh rural women are now part of 70,000 SHGs. Out of these, three lakh women have become Lakhpati Didis. The Gramothan Project also helps poor families by providing basic work resources.
