Uttarakhand Launches Chaupal-2026 to Boost Rural Entrepreneurship

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched Chaupal-2026 as part of Chief Minister Udyamshala Yojana. This scheme helps improve life in villages by giving training, money help, and market access to women, youth, and local business owners. The government is opening a state-level marketing centre at 13 Gaon in Dehradun to help sell local goods.

Scheme impact and reach

So far, over 13,000 business owners have received support through this scheme. Also, more than 3 lakh women are now Lakhpati Didis. This goal matches the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana. By selling local products like hill spices, honey, and handicrafts under the House of Himalayas brand, the state aims to stop migration and help villages become self-reliant. These Udyamshala Chaupals will happen across all 13 districts to make sure everyone knows about the scheme.
