Uttarakhand Announces New Youth Commission and Employment Schemes

Uttarakhand is launching Yuva Aayog to focus on youth education and job opportunities. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami shared this update during his Independence Day speech. The state is also starting Bal Veerta Puraskar to celebrate brave children.

New schemes for youth and housing

New industrial parks are coming to Chamoli, Pauri, and Almora. For those aged 18 to 30, Mukhyamantri Yuva Swarozgar Evam Udyamita Protsahan Yojana will provide free skill training through IITs and IIMs. The government will also offer a grant covering 30% of bank loans for new businesses.

Additionally, state contribution for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana has been raised from ₹50,000 to ₹75,000.
