Uttar Pradesh Launches Free Bus Travel for Senior Women

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched Lokmata Ahilyabai Matrushakti Yatra Yojana in Lucknow. This scheme lets women aged 60 and older travel for free on all Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation buses across the state. To get this benefit, eligible women just show their Aadhaar card or Voter ID to prove their age.

Travel updates for Raksha Bandhan

Along with this regular service for senior citizens, the government announced a special gift for the upcoming festival. All women across the state can travel for free on UPSRTC buses, with one person joining them, from August 27 to August 29 for Raksha Bandhan. This step helps women travel easily to religious sites like Ayodhya and Kashi.
