Uttar Pradesh Farmer Accident Relief Scheme Reaches 38,000 Families

Giving security to farming families is a top priority for the state government. Mukhyamantri Krishak Durghatna Kalyan Yojana acts as important support for those dealing with accidental death or disability. Since its launch on September 14, 2019, the scheme has helped over 38,000 dependent families.

Eligible people, including khatedars, co-khatedars, and landless farmers working on lease, can get money help of up to ₹5 lakh. The government increased the budget to ₹1,150 crore for the 2026-27 financial year. This is a ₹100 crore rise from the previous year. So far, 17,152 families have received help in this current cycle.

District Magistrates monitor the rollout through the CM Dashboard to make sure the process is clear and applicants get help on time.
