UP Cabinet Approves 25 Lakh Free Tablets and MBBS Stipend Hike

Uttar Pradesh government approved giving out 25 lakh free tablets through Swami Vivekanand Yuva Sashaktikaran Yojana. This scheme helps students in undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma courses, plus those in skill training, with their digital learning. The state set aside a budget of ₹2,374.60 crore for the 2026-27 financial year to fund this project. Stipend increase for medical interns

In another decision, the Cabinet increased the monthly pay for MBBS interns. The amount went up from ₹12,000 to ₹25,000. This monthly increase of ₹13,000 helps interns manage their finances during their practical training.
