Tripura Reviews Central Scheme Progress in DISHA Meeting

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha led the state-level DISHA Committee review meeting on 18th August 2026. This meeting looked at how central schemes are working. He asked for clarity and faster delivery of benefits to poor families. Regular review meetings are now required to help the government and public representatives work together.

Updates from the meeting:

• Health: AB-PMJAY has issued 16,66,870 cards to 7,00,922 families. Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya Yojana covers 2,86,820 families with 6,36,527 cards. Hospitals should use QR codes to help patients find out which illnesses are covered.
• Infrastructure: Work on 99 percent of the 3.76 lakh houses approved under PMAY-G is finished.
• Water: Jal Jeevan Mission has reached 83.17 percent coverage. This includes 6,24,477 rural household water connections.

Review of scheme progress

The Chief Minister asked for work on Anganwadi Centres to be updated. He also told officials to use Swachh Bharat Mission practices in government offices. Tripura is doing well in national scheme rankings, which shows the system is working effectively.
