Tamil Nadu Pushes for New Industrial Corridor and Park Funding

Tamil Nadu wants support from the Central government to build a new Chennai-Thiruvananthapuram industrial corridor. State Industries Minister S. Keerthana shared this plan during a meeting of the National Industrial Corridor Development and Implementation Trust in New Delhi.

The state government wants to help regional economic growth and improve connections between main manufacturing hubs. Along with this corridor, the state is asking for approval for seven industrial park projects under the Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojana. These projects offer ready-to-use infrastructure for investors. Union Minister Piyush Goyal said the government will check these plans to see if they follow official scheme rules.
