Rural Road Connectivity Progress in Bihar
Progress is steady in connecting rural areas across the state. Out of 1.29 lakh rural habitations, 1.21 lakh now have all-weather road access. This work happened through Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana and Chief Minister Gram Sampark Yojana.
Road connectivity updates
Only 8,780 habitations are still waiting for road links. The rural works department is focusing on these areas so residents get better access to work and markets. Plans for 2026-27 include building 8,264.54 km of roads to connect 3,161 more habitations.
