Revamped Khelo India Scheme 2026 Approved with 36441 Crore Budget

Union Cabinet has approved Revamped Khelo India Scheme for the next five years, from 2026-27 to 2030-31. This update includes a total budget of 36,441 crore rupees for this scheme and support for National Sports Federations. This budget is nearly eight times more than the previous amount, showing a strong commitment to sports.

This scheme focuses on finding young talent early and giving them high-performance training. By linking sports with National Education Policy, government aims to create a clear path for athletes to reach national and international stages like Olympics.
