Rajasthan receives 2.89 lakh pucca houses under PMAY-G

Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan approved 2,89,355 pucca houses for Rajasthan under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin. This work will cost ₹3,473 crore. During a visit to Baran, the Minister also sanctioned ₹340.59 crore for farming improvements.

Revised eligibility for housing

Rules for getting housing support are now broader. Families with a two-wheeler can now apply. The monthly income limit for female applicants is now ₹15,000. Small farmers with up to 5 acres of dry land or 2.5 acres of irrigated land are also eligible for support.

Government goals include reaching 32 lakh Lakhpati Didis in Rajasthan. Also, a new rural plan called Viksit Bharat-G RAM G Yojana will spend ₹12,000 crore over the next 9 months. Each panchayat will receive a development target of ₹80 lakh per year.
