Rajasthan Milk Supply Crisis Hits Pannadhay Bal Gopal Yojana

Many students in Rajasthan face nutrition gaps as Pannadhay Bal Gopal Yojana struggles with a major milk supply shortage. Data shows that only 15.73 lakh kg of skimmed milk powder reached schools against a demand of 37.56 lakh kg. About 65,000 government schools are currently missing their daily milk supplement.

It is worrying that 17 districts, including Bharatpur, have received no supplies at all. Education Department officials have ordered a stock check at the block level. Reports say that subsidized milk powder is being sent to private sweet shops instead of schools. Police filed a case after finding 3,000 kg of diverted stock in Jaipur.

Investigation into milk diversion

Government officials are now looking into these reports. They want to make sure the welfare of over 69 lakh students is not affected by this illegal black-marketing of supplies.
