Punjab Government Expands Mawan Dheeyan Satkar Yojna to Reach 1 Crore Women
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann announced an expansion of Mawan Dheeyan Satkar Yojna, aiming to cover one crore women. On Rakhri Punia, the state government paid ₹181.50 crore as money help to 5.30 lakh eligible people.
Scheme benefits
This scheme provides ₹1,000 every month to women in the general category. Women from Scheduled Castes receive ₹1,500 monthly. With this payment, the total number of women getting support has reached 70.92 lakh. The government is working fast to make sure all remaining eligible women are enrolled soon.
