Punjab CM Announces 2026 as Year of Women Economic Freedom

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann said 2026 will be the year of economic freedom for women. He shared this during the 80th Independence Day event in Ferozepur. Through Mawan Dheeyan Satkar Yojna, the state has already sent Rs 2,274 crore to 65.62 lakh women. Over 74 lakh registrations are finished so far.

Punjab Government Achievements

The Chief Minister shared updates on state work. Now, 1,090 Aam Aadmi Clinics are open. These clinics help nearly 92,000 patients every day. Also, Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna covers cashless treatment up to Rs 10 lakh for each family. This has helped over three lakh patients. Punjab has also increased canal irrigation to 80 percent of farmland. The state also gave 69,000 government jobs based on merit.

Other schemes include Meri Rasoi Scheme for food grain distribution. Mukh Mantri Tirath Yatra Yojna has also helped over four lakh people go on pilgrimages.
