Protest in Jalpaiguri over Annapurna Yojana funds
Women staged a sit-in on August 21, 2026, and blocked National Highway 717 near the Maulani Gram Panchayat office in Jalpaiguri. The protest happened on the Maynaguri-Chalsa route. Local residents say they have not received their money help from Annapurna Yojana.
