PMMVY pays ₹5,000 for first child, ₹6,000 for second daughter

Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana gives ₹5,000 in two installments for the first child and ₹6,000 if the second child is a daughter. Official details: pmmvy.wcd.gov.in.

Janani Suraksha Yojana (JSY) is a central government scheme giving money help to eligible pregnant women for safe hospital deliveries. The amount changes by rural and urban area. More at nhm.gov.in.

Janani Shishu Suraksha Yojana (JSK) gives free treatment and services to pregnant women and sick newborns in government hospitals. It covers deliveries, medicines, tests and transport.

Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY gives health insurance up to ₹5 lakh for high-risk pregnancy, emergency hospitalisation and C-sections. Eligibility and hospital list: pmjay.gov.in.

LaQshya program started by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare aims to improve care in labour rooms and maternity operation theatres to cut maternal and infant deaths.

Other schemes also cover nutrition, health and ambulance services for expectant mothers.
