PIB Organises Vartalap Workshop in Chamoli to Boost Scheme Awareness

PIB Dehradun held a Vartalap media workshop in the border district of Chamoli. The meeting helped make sure government welfare schemes reach remote villages. Officials from different departments briefed journalists on important projects, covering health, farming, and work opportunities.

The Chief Medical Officer spoke about Rahgir Yojana during the event. This scheme gives a reward of up to ₹25,000 to people who help accident victims. Other schemes discussed included Ayushman Bharat, Janani Suraksha Yojana, Nanda Gaura Yojana, and Matsya Kisan Samriddhi Yojana for trout farming. Officials also discussed Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan and noted that 140 narcotics kits are now in the district.

Media role in sharing information

This workshop helped connect the government and the public. Organizers noted that local media plays an important part in sharing correct information. Farmers learned about mushroom and kiwi farming. They also learned how to get GI tags for local products.
