Odisha launches Shree Jagannath Darshan Yojana for free pilgrimage
Odisha government launched Shree Jagannath Darshan Yojana to provide free travel to Puri for devotees in the state. Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida started the scheme virtually from Lok Seva Bhavan.
Scheme coverage
In the first phase, 910 devotees from three districts will get support to visit Lord Jagannath Temple. Odisha government plans to cover 10,535 devotees in 13 districts by October 17, 2026. The scheme provides organized travel for elderly and poor citizens.
