Odisha Hospitals Must Set Up 24x7 Help Desks by August 31

Empaneled hospitals under AB-PMJAY-GJAY scheme in Odisha must set up 24x7 help desks right away. Dr. Brundha D., CEO of State Health Assurance Society, confirmed that all facilities need to link their systems with Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) by August 31, 2026. If they fail to do this, they will face withheld payments or removal from the list of empanelled hospitals.

New rules for patient help

Hospitals also need to keep Pradhan Mantri Arogya Mitras on duty to help patients at all hours. Also, Pradhan Mantri RAHAT scheme must be fully active. This scheme gives accident victims free emergency treatment for up to seven days, with cover up to Rs 1.5 lakh. These rules help make sure patients get easy, cashless, and digital health services across the state.
