Odisha Hospitals Mandated to Improve Patient Services and Digital Integration

Private hospitals listed under Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana-Gopabandhu Jana Arogya Yojana need to run 24x7 help desks. Pradhan Mantri Arogya Mitras will manage these desks to help cardholders with registration and treatment details.

System update requirements

State Health Assurance Society CEO Dr. Brundha D. set a deadline of 31st August 2026 for hospitals to link their systems with Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission software. Hospitals that do not follow this rule may lose incentives or their empanelment status.

Under PM-RAHAT scheme, hospitals must provide free emergency care for up to seven days to road accident victims if they arrive within 24 hours of the incident. Each person gets treatment coverage up to Rs 1.5 lakh. Hospitals also need to provide smooth services to Central Armed Police Forces cardholders.
