Odisha Hospitals Directed to Improve Ayushman Bharat Services

Hospitals signed up for AB-PMJAY-GJAY must run 24/7 help desks to support patients. Dr. Brundha, CEO of State Health Assurance Society, ordered these centers to assign Pradhan Mantri Arogya Mitras to help cardholders at all times. Hospitals must link their systems with Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission by 31st August 2026. If they fail to do this, they will lose incentives or might be removed from the list.

Emergency medical support

Under PM-RAHAT scheme, hospitals must give free emergency care to road accident victims who arrive within 24 hours. This cashless treatment covers up to 1.5 lakh rupees for seven days. Also, hospitals must offer the same free services to Central Armed Police Forces cardholders. These rules help manage patient records and make sure emergency medical help reaches people without delay.
